Deposits/Payments
The host is responsible for payment of all deposits in a timely manner. Deposits are to be made according to the Deposit Schedule (25% at time of booking to secure the date, 25% required 90 days prior to the event, 25% required 30 days prior to event, and the final 25 % is required the day of the event. Payments can be made via Visa, MasterCard, certified cheque, Debit, and cash.

Music and Entertainment
We will provide our in-house PA system for announcements. You are responsible for hiring DJ services and any other entertainment.

Decorations and Cleanup
Please arrange times for hall decorations and preparations. Please note, decorations can only be placed in rented areas, and you may not use anything that will damage interior painted surfaces, especially tacks, nails or permanent adhesive tape. All of the decorations and flowers must be removed at the end of the function. If you prefer, we can do the decoration clean up and add our time ($100 / hr) to the final invoice. Normal cleanup such as carpet, dishes, glassware, and spilled food are included in the hall rental fee.

Dinner Buffets
Our buffet menus are our most popular service option for events. We have three menu packages with different price points to suit your budget. All menu items are chosen from our current catering menu (please see menus to mark choices). All packages come with appropriate condiments included; salad dressings, gravy, jus, horseradish, pickles, olives, bacon bits, sour cream, butter, etc. Service staff, tablecloths, napkins, dishes, silverware, and glassware.

Midnight Snack
A midnight snack is a great way to keep the party going well into the night! Our midnight snack includes assorted cold cuts, seasonal vegetables & dip, an assortment of cheese & pickles, a variety of dinner buns & butter, assorted squares and tea & coffee.

Wedding Cakes, Cutting and Plating
Your wedding cake is a truly special part of your event that we leave entirely up to you. Please arrange for your beautiful cake to be delivered to the exact spot in the hall where you would like it. After you cut it, we can cut the rest of the cake and include it in the dessert buffet. Cake cutting is complimentary.

Food & Beverage
All food and beverage will be made with the venue.

Leftover Food or Beverage
Because of health regulations, all food leftovers cannot be taken home.

Special Diets
If your guests have allergies or require special menus, please let us know the details and we are happy to accommodate. We must be notified at least 30 days prior to the event of any special diet preferences.  

Bar Service and Beverage Corkage
Bartender service is available either as a cash bar where individual guests pay for drinks, and as a host bar where the host brings in their own liquor/liquor license. Bartenders must be Meridian staff.

Host Bar
For this service, a list will be kept of the type and number of drinks dispensed. After the function, you will be invoiced, for the beverages consumed. Please see our wine and bar list for complete prices. We will provide everything needed for the bar.

Cash Bar
For this service, guests are charged for drinks as they are ordered. We provide bartender service at no cost to you.

Non-alcoholic Bar
If there is no alocohol, we charge $2 per person to serve non-alcoholic beverages.

Outside Champagne, Wine , Beer and Spirits
Wine: With notice, you can bring in your own wine for the event. Please note we will charge a $12.50 per bottle corkage fee. Also, we are not allowed to serve home made wine, beer or other home made alcoholic beverages.

Beer and Spirits: If you would like to bring in your own beer or spirits, a flat rate of $8.50 per person corkage fee will be applied. The corkage fee includes all brand name pop, juice, lemon and lime slices, ice, beer tubs, and glasses.

If you choose to bring in your own alcohol, you will be responsible for all liquor and the liquor license.

Alberta Drinking Laws
We strictly adhere to the Province of Alberta’s liquor laws. No person under the age of 18 shall be served. Any person who appears to be under the age of 26 may be asked for photo ID. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Events must stop serving alcohol by 1 am, and all alcoholic drinks must be consumed by 2 am.

Guaranteed Reservations/ Menu Confirmation
A guaranteed reservation for your number of guests is required for all events 30 days prior to the function in order to allow for proper ordering of supplies/arrangement of staff. For your event, you will be responsible for payment of whichever is greater; the minimum guaranteed reservation determined at time of booking, your final reservation indicated 30 days prior to the event, or the actual number of guests that attend the event.  If we have not received your final number 30 days prior to your event, you will be responsible for payment based on whichever is greater; the minimum guaranteed reservation determined at time of booking, your final reservation indicated 30 days prior to the event, or the actual number of guests that attend the event. We must also have your menu selection at least one month (30 days) prior to your event but no more than 90 days in advance of your event. We are prepared to serve 10% over your guarantee. If we have not received your menu 30 days prior to the event, we will use our standard menu.

Service Charge/Sales Tax
All food and beverage prices are subject to a 5% GST tax.

Gratuity
A mandatory 15% gratuity is required for all food and beverage services on all bookings.

Cancellations
For all cancellations and postponements, all deposits and payments made to date are non refundable.

Liability
Meridian will not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise left in Meridian prior to, during, or following a function. By signing the agreement, The Patron assumes liability for breakage and damage to the premises during the event and will be charged accordingly.
